Day 2 at Chateau du Tertre
An early start after the best night's sleep Miss Butler has ever had! But before we even had a chance to have our petit dejeuner we had to prepare our lunch (the children will be well practised at this task by the end of the week so no more packed lunch preparation for you parents...)
We walked to a local organic farm which can only be described as very French! Chickens, cows, rabbits and cherry trees galore - we now know all about chickens who live on beaches and that cows only have "bottom" teeth! This afternoon tested our problem solving skills through a series of very enjoyable challenges which included a fair bit of maths Miss Cole and a great deal of hilarity - we shall pick up tips for humorous maths problem solving. The highlight of our day so far has been our trapeze acts!! Skimming up a telegraph pole with a rather tight harness and ropes galore was nothing - compared to launching ourselves into space and attempting to locate the trapeze bar! Well done Liberty for being so successful A career in the circus awaits! But the rest of us enjoyed swinging in space! We're now well fed and about to go off to collect sticks for a campfire and French sing song. Enjoy our photos!
Nous sommes arrives! We have arrived!! All is well! Slightly tired but lots of running around exploring after a very French supper!
