Term 6: Make Do and Mend

In this final term of Year 5, we are again travelling back in time to the era of World War II, answering the enquiry question, 'How did society change as a result of WWII?' The children began by investigating propaganda poster from that period, and are completing an art project under the umbrella 'Make Do and Mend', upcycling an old and un-loved t-shirt. We will be reading the novel 'Letter from the Lighthouse' by Emma Carroll (a Bath Spa University alumni!) and using this to inspire our own letter writing in English.
