Year 5 - Parton and Valli
Welcome to Year 5
Miss Miller and Miss Mullaly are delighted to be part of your child's learning experience this year as Dolly Parton Class and Frankie Valli Class. We will be supported by Mrs Warren, Mrs Randle and Kim. We are always around to support both you and the children. If you need anything or you have any questions or queries please don't hesitate - pop in and speak to one of us!
Weekly timetable:
Below, you will find an example of our 'normal' weekly timetable. We will endevour to keep to this, though as you know, school life can be variable and surprising, and we will let the children know of any changes in advance!
Term 3: Renaissance Man
This term in Year 5, we will be delving into the incredible achievements of Leonardo da VInci, from his portrait painting and inventions to detailed botanical sketches and anatomical discoveries! We will be reading 'THe Incredible Adventures of Professor Branestawm' by Norman HUnter and using this comedic writing to inspire our own narrative writing. We will also develop our Word Processing skills in Computing, creating biographies for da VInci.
Topic Leaflet
All the information about Term 3's learning can be found in the leaflet below. In addition, to the topic web, you will also find some suggestions about topic based projects that can be carried out over the duration of the term; we cannot wait to see what the children come up with.

Their weekly results will be used as evidence to support their writing assessments at the end of the school year.
