We were saddened to hear that one of our ex pupils, Ben Saunders, passed away earlier this month after a long battle with cancer. Although I didn’t know him and he was here before I joined OPJS, many staff spoke fondly of him and it is clear that he was held in such high regard by all who knew him. To celebrate and remember his life we, as a school, are supporting the amazing Ben Saunders Foundation: www.bensaundersfoundation.org. The foundation hopes to raise money for a holiday sanctuary home for families of children with cancer, whether it is for respite for the parents or as a break for the whole family.
