OPJS Update

31 January 2022

Afternoon Parents/Carers,

First and foremost I hope all is well with you and yours and you had a good weekend regardless of the current challenges.

Just a quick update regarding the current COVID situation at OPJS. We have 24 confirmed cases of COVID with 3 further possible cases. This equates to approximately 10% of our school who have COVID, with a significant further number of children identified as close contacts. It is fair to say that this has been the case since the start of this term and numbers, at the moment, show no sign of dropping.

Given the significance of the above, we are asking everyone to remain vigilant and, if possible, test daily. This will enable us to keep on top of numbers and try and stop further any spread. Furthermore, this will provide Steve and Lia further opportunity to identify close contacts. Many thanks for your support in this and to both of them as they are doing a super job.

Thank you for your support during this challenging time and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or queries.

Kind regards,
Mr Dave Goucher
Headteacher.
